Adam Lampert has spent his career focusing on the private equity markets as an investor, board member, advisor and operator. Mr. Lampert’s purpose has always been to identify, support and invest in business opportunities that offer the potential to create significant stakeholder value.
Mr. Lampert founded Nextband Partners (Nextband) in November 1999. Funded with proceeds from successful investments, Nextband has invested in growth businesses that have offered compelling value propositions within their respective market niches. Nextband has also engaged with numerous businesses to offer investment banking services through the operating entity Corporate Development Strategies (CDS). Most engagements at CDS involved either the sale of a business or the raise of additional growth capital for dynamic businesses with revenues ranging from $10mm to $100mm. Clients include locally recognized names such as Uncle Julios, Bibbentuckers, Palm Beach Tan, and International Marble Collection (IMC). Nextband continues to offer investment banking services under the Nextband brand.
Prior to forming Nextband Partners, Mr. Lampert held the position of Director of Acquisitions and Investments at The Rosewood Corporation, the operating arm of the Caroline Hunt Trust Estate. As Director, Mr. Lampert targeted primarily well-established middle market companies for acquisition. Apart from this core focus, Mr. Lampert was closely involved with Rosewood’s early-stage investment in Alamosa PCS, a Sprint PCS Affiliate. As a board member of Alamosa, Mr. Lampert worked closely with the company to analyze operations, to develop financial projections, to interview underwriters, and to memorialize the company’s history for the S-1 offering document. Alamosa was purchased in 2006 by Sprint at an enterprise valuation of approximately $4.5 billion.
Mr. Lampert’s experience prior to Rosewood includes the following: President of Portables (a start-up company), Consultant at the Wharton Small Business Development Center, and Associate in the Corporate Finance Group of Arthur Andersen. In these various positions, Mr. Lampert worked with early-stage, growth-stage and middle-market companies to develop business strategy, to raise capital, and to support transactions.
Mr. Lampert received his BA and BBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, and his MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied finance and entrepreneurial management. Mr. Lampert resides in Dallas with his wife and three children.
Luke Sweetser
Managing Partner
Mr. Sweetser brings an integrated investment and operational background to Nextband. Over the past sixteen years, Mr. Sweetser has served both as a private equity investor and a business operator. He has led businesses with as few as 17 employees to enterprises with more than 200 employees. He brings an integrated perspective to the areas of leadership, strategy, operations analysis and improvement, acquisition integration, and major transformation programs.
While at his predecessor private equity partnerships, Lewis Hollingsworth LP ("LH Equity") and the North Texas Opportunity Fund LP ("NTOF"), Mr. Sweetser invested in 17 platform companies and completed an additional nine add-on acquisitions with an aggregate purchase price of approximately $320 million.
Of the $58.4 million in equity he has invested, he has returned $114.9 million in cash and $71.5 million in unrealized returns, representing a cash-on-cash return of 42% and a multiple of more than 3.0x invested capital.
As a business leader, Mr. Sweetser also has a solid track record. He has served as the chief executive officer or chief restructuring officer for several operating companies including our current portfolio company, CSI Insurance Group, software company Envision Gaming (start-up to $2.5 million in revenue), and specialty logistics provider, PrimeSource FoodService Equipment ($165 million in revenue).
Mr. Sweetser is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He received his A.B. from Harvard University. He likes gin, French fries, and camping with his family.
Quinntin Augustine
Mr. Augustine’s responsibilities at Nextband include market research, operational analysis, and financial projection modeling to support M&A transactions. Mr. Augustine also identifies and qualifies prospective investors for Nextband’s clients. Mr. Augustine’s experience at Nextband includes working on transactions across a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Nextband Partners, Mr. Augustine worked as a financial analyst for InforMed, a healthcare research and consulting firm. At Informed he aggregated, analyzed, and distributed proprietary research reports used as financial and operational benchmarks for Outpatient Surgery Centers and Physician Owned Hospitals. Prior to InforMed, Mr. Augustine worked as a financial analyst for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).
Mr. Augustine graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University and holds both a BBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business, and a BA in Economics from the Dedman School of Economics. Mr. Augustine also speaks fluent Mandarin and is currently a CFA Level 1 Candidate.

Erin Coffey
Ms. Coffey has served as Office Manager for four years. Her role at Nextband Partners is to oversee office administration including responsibility over accounting and tax. In addition, Ms. Coffey supports the finance staff by conducting general research.
A competitive gymnast for 7 years, Ms. Coffey has taught other aspiring gymnasts at WOGA gymnastics since 2004 and continues to coach there on a part-time basis. Additionally, she is currently pursuing her degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Ms. Coffey resides in Dallas, Texas.
